Ever run into a behemoth before? They're big nasty uglies.
[Zack sits on one of the stools and starts to rip open the package but it only takes about thirty seconds of Zack messing and fumbling around that he frowns and looks up at Reno.]
Hey, wanna give me a hand real quick?
[Do him a solid, Reno!]
no subject
[That's not necessarily a 'yes,' but it's not a 'no,' either. Turks aren't SOLDIERs, but they see their share of nasties.
He sighs, making a show of it to make sure he looks extra put-upon, but when Zack asks, he doesn't hesitate in actually approaching.]
Lemme see that.
[He'll just take that from Zack and— yup, there, fully open.]
C'mon, hold your arm out. This ain't a one-handed kind of job.
[So okay, he'll help.]
no subject
As long as you don't make it worse, man.
[He grins, sitting more comfortably before offering the wounded arm. It's a pretty nasty gash but at least it looks clean and like it will heal decently. He might even have a neat scar afterwards.]
no subject
[Maybe a poor choice of words, given the situation. Either way, he takes Zack by the elbow and hoists his arm upwards so that he can start working on it from a better angle. Clean is good— he's not exactly nurse material, here, so any steps he can skip before getting it wrapped properly are cool with him.]
Hold still, slick.
[He bites at his lower lip as he starts to wrap the injured arm tightly, making sure the bandages are applying enough pressure on each pass.]
Still got circulation in there, right?
no subject
[Zack lets out a short laugh before it's replaced with a wince. Reno doesn't have the hands of a gentle nurse, that's for sure. It shows in the patchwork but at least it's getting Zack cleaned up enough that he's not bleeding all over the floor anymore.]
Yeah. I don't think my arm's gonna fall off. [He gives a bit of a flex with his hand.] I think I'll survive the night.
no subject
[But if they did, Reno's pride would definitely rank several steps below the nasty injury Zack is sporting. Wrapping it up is simple enough, though, and once he gets confirmation, he secures the edge of the bandage with an almost surprisingly practiced touch. He's had to patch himself up in the field more than once.]
Good. That'd get real messy. Where'd the hell you run into a behemoth, anyway, slick?
[Are they just like, around these days?]

One of the mountain areas just outside of Sector Five. I don't know what's up with it but it seems this one decided to venture a little too far out of its own territory.
[Is it because of the increased bio testing in the areas? Lack of food outside of the city? Who knows.]
Thanks, though. Didn't know Turks could make a pretty good second hand medic.
no subject
[Hey, he can respect what SOLDIER does for them— even if his default tone doesn't quite sound like he does. Look, that's just his voice.
He smirks, tossing the unused bandages aside so that they land atop one of the counters. Someone will get that later, right?]
No sweat. Had to fix up more than a few scrapes out in the field. Not like the job is gonna wait while you go get a band-aid.
[Considering his job often includes chasing people down... well. You learn to save time wherever you can.]
Feelin' alright?
no subject
Yeah, feeling fine enough to be able to get through to the morning.
[He eyes the Turk then.]
What are you doing up so late, anyway? Another dirty job no one else wants to do? What does Tseng even have you guys doing half the time?
[Tseng is an old.... friend (?). He's allowed to poke around at the Turks and what they do, isn't he?]
no subject
'Late' is relative, isn't it? Not like we're working nine-to-five in an office somewhere.
[Depending on what the job demands, he and the others can end up keeping some pretty wild hours.]
Sometimes we're out all night. As for 'what'— that's classified, you know? You're First Class... you oughta know all about that.
[Zack's got plenty of jobs he can't talk about, either, he's sure.]
no subject
Fine fine.
[He drawls a little.]
You gotta have some real dirt on Tseng, though. Come on, is it true he never sleeps? Ever? Like a vampire?
no subject
[Although that doesn't mean Reno doesn't have any. He laughs sharply, leaning back against the nearby counter with his arms lazily folded across his chest.]
Vampire might be goin' a little far, but I've never seen the guy sleep. He's always on. Here before and after anyone else. Little crabby in the mornings though, that might be a clue. Hardass of a boss.
no subject
Maybe that hardass just needs a vacation or two. [Yes. Yes he does need a vacation.] But that probably means he cares about you folks. Probably why he works so hard.
[He shrugs.]
Or he's just a workaholic.
no subject
[It's probably the same for SOLDIER, even if the nature of their missions tends to differ.]
Wouldn't have made it as far as he did if he didn't care about his job, though. It ain't easy work. Nobody gets far in the Turks on accident, you know?
[And those that seem like they might have? Well, that's just what they want you to think.]
You a buddy of his?
no subject
Huh. I thought maybe I was.
[Truth be told there isn't actually that many people that Zack trusts in and around ShinRa. Tseng is one of those few people. But how much does he really know about the guy?]
Doesn't matter. Thanks for the patch up, dude.
no subject
[He shrugs easily, a smirk pulling at one side of his mouth.]
He's not all that chatty with us about his personal life. Professional distance, and all. You might know 'im better than anyone on our team, if that's the case.
[But as for the rest, he pushes himself away from the counter with one hand.]
Anyway, no sweat. Maybe avoid fisticuffs with any behemoths for a few days while it closes up, though.
no subject
[He lingers behind for a moment longer. Thinking about what Reno just said about the man in question. Tseng does keep his distance from most people but he has seen the man laugh and smile, even share tidbits about himself...
Who knows. Maybe they are friends.
Zack thinks that if anything were to happen Tseng and Cissnei would be the first people to care, honestly.]
Hey. I'm glad Tseng is your leader. No matter what always listen to everything he says, got it?
[Then he waves his hand (with his good arm) adieu.]
