I fear that I would not look good in them. White is meant for others - not me. But I suppose perhaps smiling a bit more would do the trick. Although, I have been told when I smile, it makes people think I'm scheming.

I wonder why they think that? Sometimes a smile is just a smile! Some of them can definitely be for scheming, but it's not fair to assume that right away. Also, 'scheming' doesn't seem like the right word for you, maybe. I scheme. You calculate, I think.
